I have joined many hiking groups before, but this was my first time hosting one.
It all started with an innocent Instagram story post where I invited people to join me on a hiking adventure. It took me by a surprise how many people applied.

Saulkrasti White Dune Conservation

During the #EUGreenWeek European countries participate in the project (find out more), also we – Latvians had something in mind. The Nature Conservation Agency (Latvian – Dabas aizsardzības pārvalde) partnering with World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF Latvia or Pasaules Dabas Fonds) did an interesting project for Saulkrasti White Dune conservation. I got invited to the conference

How to preserve the nature with non-traditional methods?


After the contest (which I should have covered here but didn’t) which was organised by the Pasaules Dabas fonds (WWF for Nature Latvia) and Tetra Pak Latvia, I received an email from the Turiba University. At first, I thought that it must be related to the contest in which I participated in. And as a matter of fact, it wasn’t. I must admit – this was the first time when University, reaches out for me to talk about the subject in which I am really interested in and I felt honoured to be recognised at all.
