This trip was more challenging than others because of the locations the organizers chose for us. How we handled the challenge, take a look at the pictures below.
The InstaTrip Pt. 4, which is the one the article is going to be about, was organised by the Latvian travel agency again (meaning – the first one, to which I went and covered in my blog, was also organised by them).

So basically, I had this idea to document a rare phenomenon of when the seashore departs and uncovers an interesting view all around the Latvian seashore. It last happened in 1986. The destination of the trip was the farthest northern point of Kurzeme – Kolka (region of Latvia) where this phenomenon is easiest to see. Kolka is a special place because it’s a meeting point of two seas that never mix – Gulf of Riga and Baltic sea.
Despite having little hope of success, I invited people on Facebook to join me on a trip and in just a few minutes we formed a group of four people – enough to fit in a car. We were ready for the next Instagram trip!
First of all, this was the first time I’d ever been to Estonia. And honestly, it was everything I could ask for. I’m a Latvian who lives literally next to Estonia. I still can remember the trip in detail, so I would like to share the story.
I’m a volunteer at World Wildlife Fund Latvia or Latvian for “Pasaules Dabas Fonds” – which is the Latvian equivalent of the name. It all started when I got an email about a chance to be a part of the trip which was to take place on Estonian islet called “Manija” and I immediately replied “I’m definitely in!”. Mostly, I’m not that spontaneous, but this and the last adventure I wrote about in “Instagram trip” prove that I can be quite spontaneous after all.
Not bad for the first time in Estonia.
Not bad at all.
Before I begin – the event took place on August 6-7. It took me just about two months to create this blog to write about it.
InstaTripLV is an event for Instagram photographers which is organised by Latvian travel agency. Among the participants were six Latvian Instagram photographers and two girls who organised the event. As the title states, this is the second Instagram trip in Latvia ever and I had a chance to be a part of it. (Kurzeme – a region in Latvia)
